NHI option as oposed to the current Government healthcare

I ask myself what will be the difference between the current government Hospital heath care and the new government proposed/approved new  (NHI) National Health Insurance?  Nothing.  It is just another way to make the public responsible to provide healthcare for the poor.

For the last 17 years the hospitals and healthcare instruments that were in place has been plundered and run down by incompetence of those that were placed in charge to administrate and run the health care institutions.  Many of these were closed because of poor administration and the remainder of the hospitals and clinics were left to deteriorate to such an extend that they were rendered useless.

Private business initiatives driven by Carteblance and other charity organizations made upgrades and improvements possible to help carry the burden that were supposed to be that of the government!  The one thing the current government know how to do well is to create instruments that can be abused by it's officials to drain the economy in order to line their own pockets.

If the ANC Government wants to provide good healthcare for the poor they have to carry the financial responsibility for such a plan.  The NHI should exists in society so that they can provide a decent government medical care plan for the poor who cannot afford such basic need for themselves.

The wrong way to get it right

Workers that wants to affect change by trashing neighborhoods to get a better salary deal with their employers is trying to get it right by going about it in the wrong way.

The workers behavior participating in the Municipality strike is shameful and unacceptable!  The authorities should call the strike illegal and order the Trade Union in question, to pay penalties for the damages caused by the lack of discipline of their members.

These actions show a total lack of discipline and respect by those who are taking part in the strike action, and their behavior disqualify them to receive any kind of reward for demands that they may claim.

The Trade Union should be held fully responsible for any disruption, damage to personal property and trashing of orderly neighborhoods during approved strike action by any of their members.

The government authorities should further suspend any approved strike action with immediate affect of any Trade Union where members disregard the guidelines.  The government should pass law to enforce "Peaceful Strike Action Guidelines" if these are not in place yet, that includes severe penalties and that would disqualify and suspend any strike action where Unions can't or won't control their members from adherence to these  guidelines.

If such guidelines do exist make it public so that everyone affected by the strike action know what is allowed and what is not allowed.  This will pave the way for the public to keep government accountable if they allow disorder during strike action, as is the case right now.
